Megan Thee Stallion kicked off the 2024 BET Awards with an amazing performance, setting a high standard for the night ahead. Her act left the audience in awe.
Two days after the artist released her third studio album, Megan gave an explosive performance on the stage of the 24th BET Awards.
The vocalist justified her ‘Hot Girl’ title with this performance on Sunday, June 30, to open the awards night! The 29-year-old demonstrated to everyone why she is the popular choice and one of the best hip-hop artists of the moment.
She performed “BOA” and “Where Them Girls At?” with the help of a large number of dancers.
On June 28, 2023, the singer released her third studio album, which contained 18 tracks and included the singles “Cobra, Hiss, and BOA.” Back in September 2023, Megan talked about what inspired her new album and got her into the right attitude to deliver new music.
“I feel like I’m in such a fresh space. Everything about me is new,” the Houston-raised rapper said at the time.
“My attitude, my vibe. I feel like I’m starting a new chapter in my life. I think I’ve just gone through so much and I’m at a point where I don’t care about a lot of stuff. I’m just so comfortable with myself. I’m like, ‘OK, at this point, girl, what’s the worst thing that can happen?’ I’m just into taking risks right now,” she added.
Megan’s most recent studio album features collaboration with Kyle Richh, Yuki Chiba, GloRilla, UGK, Victoria Monét, Big K.R.I.T., and Buddah Bless.
Currently, the singer is touring with GloRilla on the 2024 Hot Girl Summer tour. She also backed GloRilla’s performance of Wanna Be later that night at the BET Awards.
Megan Thee Stallion was nominated for four BET Awards this year: Video of the Year, Best Collaboration, Best Female Hip Hop Artist, and the BET HER Award.
