Ghana’s Parliamentarians experienced a mass testing of coronavirus on Wednesday 20th May, 2020 with their spouses to shield them from getting infected.
The tests by the government officials also incorporated the staff of the house. After the testing, results proclaim that two members of the Parliament and thirteen (13) other staff of the lawmaking chamber have tested positive for COVID-19 after the voluntary testing ordered by the Speaker.
It is indistinct the identities of the affected MPs. Following the turn of events, the Speaker has again requested for obligatory testing of all staff and the members. The move is to guarantee effective contact tracing since MPs associate among themselves all the more regularly.
