Mercedes-Benz CLA Electric Vehicle (EV): A major milestone in the company’s electrification goal was reached in March 2025 when the all-electric CLA sedan was introduced. Important characteristics include:
• Electric Powertrain Options: The CLA offers two configurations: the rear-wheel-drive 250+ and the all-wheel-drive 350+. The 250+ model boasts a range of approximately 492 miles (750 km) with an 85 kWh battery, while the 350+ offers around 479 miles. Both support rapid charging, enabling over 200 miles of range in just 10 minutes at a 350 kW DC fast charger.
• Innovative ‘Superscreen‘: The CLA features a ‘superscreen’ that allows passengers to engage in activities like playing video games or watching Netflix while on the move, enhancing the in-car entertainment experience.
• MMA Platform: This model is the first to utilize Mercedes-Benz’s new “electric-first” MMA platform, designed to accommodate internal combustion engine (ICE), hybrid, and EV models.
Mercedes-Benz, meanwhile, updated their G-Class lineup in April 2024, adding the following models:
The first electric G-Class model, the G 580 with EQ Technology, has four electric motors that together produce 432 kW and 1,165 Nm of torque. It can reach a top speed of 180 km/h and accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds.
