MOGmusic Accepted As A New Member Of The Recording Academy

Ghanaian gospel performer, Pastor Nana Yaw Boakye, otherwise called MOGmusic, is now a member of the Recording Academy of the Grammy Awards.

After the Grammy Board approves his application, he becomes the first Ghanaian Gospel artist from Ghana to be admitted to the Recording Academy.

MOGmusic expressed his joy at the news of his acceptance into the Recording Academy, describing it as “a dream coming true.”

“This is the pinnacle every musician wishes to get to,” he said. “I am glad to be putting Ghana on the map once again.”

He further said that his entrance into the Academy is an inspiration for him to accomplish more as a gospel musician.

He now has the chance to submit his works for the awards ceremonies that come after.

Beyond this acceptance, he is expected to build a solid network all over the world, and furthermore set forth more energy by producing quality works consistently to have the option to be recognized by the Academy.

When he released his most recent album, titled “Koinonia Phase II,” earlier this year, the two-time VGMA Male Vocal Performance winner took his music career to a whole new level.

The award winning, globally recognized gospel artiste’s album builds on the previous Koinonia Phase I album, launched last year which blessed the industry worldwide with hit songs like Grace, Mala, Your Presence, Almighty God, Choral Praise, Glory to the Lamb and There’s Power.

There are eight songs on the new album, and they feature well-known gospel musicians like Pastor Donnie McClurkin, Pastor Kojo Frimpong, Ps Shadrack Mensah Kwesi, Joey Saff and Kobby Salm.

The songs include, Nyankopong, Glorious, Holy Chant, We Cry Yahweh ft. Pastor Kojo Frimpong, Be Lifted Medley ft. Donnie McClurkin, Covenant Keeper, Yesu ft. Joey Saff and Kobby Salm, and African Praise ft. Ps Shadrack Mensah Kwesi.

MOG has released numerous tunes, including: Be Lifted, Elohim, Living God, and many more.

MOG is not only a gospel music singer and songwriter but also a pastor at Royalhouse Chapel International. He has won the VGMA award for best male vocalist twice in a row.
