The French sports publication L’Équipe gave Mohamed Salah a 3/10 rating in the last UEFA Champions League match between Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) on March 5, 2025.
His poor performance during the match, in which he found it difficult to have a major influence against PSG’s defense, is reflected in this low rating.
Despite being dominated for the whole of the game, Liverpool managed to clinch a 1-0 victory at the Parc des Princes.
Alisson Becker, Liverpool’s goalkeeper, put on an incredible display with nine vital saves, denying PSG numerous times despite their 27 shots, 10 of which were on goal. L’Équipe gave Alisson a rare 9/10 grade for his valiant efforts.
“Braquage A L’Anglaise” (“English Robbery”) was the headline on L’Équipe’s front page after the game, emphasizing the idea that Liverpool’s victory went against the flow of play.
Salah’s attacking threats were successfully neutralized by PSG’s defense, therefore his performance was simply unimpressive. His lack of influence on the game was highlighted by his early substitution in the 86th minute, which was replaced by Harvey Elliott.
Despite Salah’s low rating, Liverpool’s win puts them in a strong position for the Round of Sixteen match’s second leg at Anfield.
