More Than 2,000 People From 73 Countries, Are Being Held In Prison

Hungary has stopped at its borders nearly 49,000 irregular border crossers and 387 people smugglers this year, according to Security officials in the country.

As reported by AboutHungary, a website managed by the international communication office of the Hungarian Prime Minister’s office, currently in Hungary about 12 per cent of prisoners, or a total of 2,048 people from 73 countries, are being held in prison due to human smuggling, SchengenVisaInfo.com reports.

Officials have revealed that, the really big criminals who move the networks are these people on the edges. And interestingly, they don’t even come close to the border, so it’s hard to get them arrested.

As expressed by Bakondi, a Central security official, the Hungarian state bears a huge burden in the battle against human trafficking. He also claims that Hungary works together with any country that aids in the control of national borders, a cooperation that enhances its internal security.

As per him, efforts are also made to team up with Frontex, the EU’s organization answerable for border control. Helpful drives are in the works with nations like Austria and Serbia, and also Croatia, Slovenia, and Austria.

However, there does not appear to be any financial or legal support from the EU, as per the report.

Regardless of the recent statements from high-profile figures such as the German chancellor, the President of the European Commission, and the leader of the European People’s Party applauding the protection of the EU’s external borders by Hungary, potentially through fence construction, Hungary is not receiving any financial support or definitive decisions regarding this matter.

In April 2023, Hungary officials said that because of the reinforced security of the Hungarian lines, there was a reduction of 26% in the number of unpredictable foreigners through the Balkan course during the period January-Walk 2023 compared to the earlier year.

Furthermore, these remarks are made as the European parliamentary elections approach because migration will play a significant role in the elections. Policies regarding migration are significantly influenced by the ideologies propagated by the foundations associated with American financier George Soros.

An EU audit committee recently visited Hungary and stated that they would not provide any support if Hungary do not accept the political and ideological position they represent.

Since the beginning of the migration crisis in 2015, Germany has faced an increasing number of issues, including a bloated social support system and terrorist attacks that have killed hundreds of people.

Having said that, the situation gets worse the more immigrants there are in society. However, immigrants already make up more than 18 percent of the population in Germany.
