
Telecom giant MTN has announced that MTN Group President and CEO Ralph Mupita has been elected to the GSMA Board of Directors for the term 2025-2026.
His appointment demonstrates MTN’s commitment to advancing Africa’s economic, social, and digital transformation goals and playing a key role in connecting the continent.
Ralph’s primary focus on the Board will be driving the African agenda, particularly in relation to the G6 commitments to close the usage and coverage gaps.
Ralph is an advocate for leveraging technology to drive economic growth and inclusion putting more money into it; and making sure the future is climate-smart.
It is anticipated that his participation on the Board will play a significant role in maximizing the potential of mobile technology to promote sustainable development and economic expansion.
