
All talented South Africans with aspirations of working in the film and television industries are being invited to apply for the 2025 intake by the MultiChoice Talent Factory (MTF). The deadline for applications is February 17, 2025.
The film skills development program encourages eligible graduates who are enthusiastic about sharing their own stories to apply. They will have the chance to gain a unique opportunity to hone their skills and eventually help the local and pan-African film and broadcasting industries grow.
The MultiChoice Talent Factory, a 12-month industry readiness program in South Africa that is currently in its tenth year, provides the chance to gain invaluable experience in directing, producing, cinematography, commissioning, art direction, and many other skills while learning from some of the top TV producers in the nation.

The MTF program offers more than just practical training; successful candidates are able to work on some of the top professional TV shows in the nation, gaining experience in all facets of TV and film production, from conception to broadcast, and developing abilities like:
• Story-lining & Scriptwriting
• Directing & Assistant Director work
• Producing & Production Management
• Cinematography & Post Production
• Art Direction & Wardrobe
• Sound Recording and Final Mix
• Commissioning and broadcasting.
Since its launch in 2015, the MTF Academy has upskilled over 140 storytellers, many of whom have gone on to work on series like— ‘Gomorra, The River, The Queen, Youngins, Adulting, and reality TV series like Idols, Survivor and Miss SA’.
