Nana Appiah Mensah, the CEO of the dead gold gold dealership firm, Menzgold, has sued Bridget Otoo a journalist with Metro television, for Defamation and is seeking an amount of GHC1 million in damages.

The offended party (NAM1), in a writ of request said on the 21 October 2023 at 7:26am, while his lawbreaker case was all the while pending before the court for hearing, Bridget Otoo, the respondent posted a slanderous comments on her X (formerly Twitter) handle.

As indicated by the plaintiff (NAM1), the defendant’s (Bridget Otoo) explanation is perceived to mean the Offended party (NAM1) is a scammer, and a dishonest person who makes money through duplicity by defrauding, and is a deceiver of the public to make money.

NAM1 said, whether he [Nana Appiah Mensah] is a matter pending before a court of competent jurisdiction yet to be decided and doesn’t lie in that frame of mind of the respondent (Bridget Otoo) to allude to the offended party as a fraudster and a con artist.

As per NAM1, he has experienced extraordinary damages to his personality and reputation by being depicted as a fraudster and trickster according to right reasoning citizenry and his business partners around the world.

Meanwhile, the offended party’s lawyer Mr Morris Ampaw has expressed in a recent interview on Asaase radio that, they will from now on, be taking on every single person who stigmatize his client as the case is forthcoming under the watchful eye of the court for hearing.
