The first electric vehicles of its kind have been introduced in Ghana by automaker Kantanka Automobile.
The three vehicles are referred to in the local dialect as “Nyansaboakwa,” which is an improvement over the Kantanka model produced in 2023. The other two, Kantanka “Onantefo” and “Obrempong,” are also charged up before they set out.
These vehicles are incredibly fast and functional, and they run on electricity.
Politicians, pastors, chiefs, business owners, and numerous other prominent people were in attendance at the unveiling to show support for the company and its founder, Sarfo Kantanka Snr.
In addition to using gasoline for propulsion, electric vehicles (EVs) rely on a battery that can be charged externally and has a minimum capacity of four kWh.
The Kantanka “Nyansaboakwa” vehicle is used for agricultural purposes, specifically for irrigation. For farmers who own a sizable farm or farms, it is intended to make farming easier and more straightforward.
EV Vehicles:
EVs store energy in their batteries after receiving it from a charging station. The motor that turns the wheels is powered by the battery. This motion is the result of numerous electrical components working in tandem in the background.
