Paris Saint-Germain President Nasser al Khelaifi and Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly met in Paris to talk, about a possible transfer of Neymar, according to sources.
Last summer, PSG wanted the Brazilian superstar to leave, but they couldn’t find a team that would take him on. The PSG playmaker just turned 31 years old, and has a contract in Paris until June 2027. He makes €30 million a year, but the leaders of Ligue 1 don’t like him right now.
Sources said that President Todd Boehly was tempted to recruit Neymar. However, no action was taken to bring him in.
Thomas Tuchel, a former manager of Chelsea, also advocated for the Brazilian’s arrival at Stamford Bridge in 2022, while he was still on the bench for the Blues.
According to reports, Al Khelaifi and Boehly had lunch in a posh hotel near the Arc de Triomphe. There, they talked about a possible Neymar move, the unsuccessful transfer of Hakim Ziyech from Chelsea to Paris at the end of the winter window, and the latest developments regarding the possibility of a European Super League.
