Tiwa Savage, an Afrobeats musician, has expressed her thoughts on romance and Nigerian men.
Savage recently stated that Nigerian men are “swaggalicious but not romantic” in an interview with GRam Daily’s “Thoughts in a Culli.”
She said, Nigerian men are generous. Savage went on to say that she still expects more from them in spite of their generosity.
“Nigerian men do have swag but they are not really romantic when it comes down to it. They know how to swag and splash cash but I’m not looking for that,” she said.
Even if it generated controversy, it is crucial to take the bigger picture into account. Rather than drawing a generalization, she was probably speaking from personal experience or a generic cultural observation.
