Osimhen Set For Saudi Move After Accepting Al-Hilal Offer — Report

According to reports, Victor Osimhen is agreeing to a contract offer from the Saudi Pro League.

The attacker, who spent the previous season at Galatasaray on loan from Napoli, has also been linked to Manchester United and Chelsea.

Osimhen scored 26 goals and contributed five assists in 30 games for the Turkish powerhouses during the 2024–25 Super Lig season.

Prior to joining the Istanbul-based team, the 26-year-old scored 31 goals across all competitions in the 2022–2023 season, leading Napoli to their first Serie A championship in 33 years. Since then, he has been regarded as one of Europe’s best forwards.

However, after Napoli manager Antonio Conte left Osimhen out of his squad and recruited Romelu Lukaku, he was obliged to make a last-ditch effort to find a new club during the summer transfer window.

Now, it is said that Osimhen and Al-Hilal have reached a personal agreement. Napoli has accepted Al-Hilal’s €70 million (£59 million) deal for the striker.

According to reports last month, Al-Hilal presented Osimhen with a three-year contract offer that would see him play in the Gulf country and earn about £15 million annually.

At Al-Hilal, the Nigerian international would be joining a number of former European football stars.

Joao Cancelo, Aleksandar Mitrovic, Ruben Neves, Kalidou Koulibaly, and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic are among the players in the 2024–25 Saudi Pro League runners-up team.

Manchester United Is Going Through A Difficult Time

When it comes to attacking transfer prospects, Man United will only focus on Bryan Mbeumo for the time being.

The Red Devils are working on an updated offer for the forward from Brentford for north of £60m, while United’s opening bid was £45m plus £10m in bonuses.

Mbeumo is seen as a key target for United, who are looking to improve their lacklustre squad after a dreadful 2024-25 campaign.

Mbeumo – whose contract expires next year – could become United’s second signing of the summer behind the £62.5m Matheus Cunha.
