
Otto Addo has offered his gratitude to everyone following his reappointment as Ghana’s coach, refering to it as an extraordinary honor.
The Ghana Football Association commended his “remarkable” performance during the screening, prompting his affirmation for a second stint on Friday March 15.
Otto Addo accepted the Ghana job on a 34-month contract which entails his departure from Dortmund in the summer, where he has served as their talent coach since 2020, as he embarks on his new role as coach for the Ghanaian national team- the Black Stars.
Speaking about his new role, he expressed,
“It is a great privilege to be able to take on the role of head coach of my national team. I’ve already gained a lot of experience in this role as interim coach and I’m looking forward to the task that lies ahead of me from the summer. Until then, I will continue to give my all for BVB and will certainly remain closely associated with the club afterwards.”
Otto Addo is very familiar with the Ghana job, having recently stood firm on the foothold in 2022, during which he successfully led the Black Stars to qualify for the World Cup in Qatar.
Black Stars Face Uganda In A Friendly
In his most memorable stretch, he led the team to win four matches, drew four, and lost four out of 12 matches in control. He had a 33% success rate in his past job as the Black Stars Coach.
His first assignment in his renewed role is overseeing international friendlies against Uganda and Nigeria in Morocco.
