Otumfuo@25: The Special Guests And Incredible Performances At The Enstoolment Anniversary Get-together

As part of the 25th Anniversary of the King of the Asante Kingdom, an Enstoolment Commemoration After-Party was Organized at the Manhyia Palace on Friday April 26. Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and his special guests were blessed to enjoy a number of engaging performances from some top artists in the country.

It was an all fun party, as these entertainers left an imprint with overpowering performances including the Manhyia Palace Band, incredible highlife singer Ben Brako, Daughters of Glorious Jesus and Akwaboah.

On that particular day, their performances enticed the majority of the traditional authorities as well as the guests to dance off to the captivating songs.

Guests were soaked by the music as they dined on delicious local meals.

At the Asantehene’s residence, this event was only open to those who accepted an invitation. Top dignitaries additionally graced the event. They included the spouse of Otumfuo Osei Tutu Lady Julia, Simon Osei Mensah, the Ashanti Regional Minister, Samuel Abu Jinapor, the Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Benito Owusu-Bio, the former Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, traditional authorities, clergymen and numerous others.

The King undertook a cake-cutting at the occasion with the assistance of his better half and selected individuals present.

The ceremony was preceded by a non-denominational thanksgiving service on the Dwabrem grounds of the Palace, during which the King delivered a speech, worship, praise, a sermon, and musical performances by well-known gospel artists.

Participants included Most Rev Dr Paul Kwabena Boafo, Presiding Bishop of the Methodist Church Ghana; Most Rev Peter Kwesi Sarpong, Catholic Archbishop Emeritus; Most Rev Gabriel Justice Anokye, Catholic Archbishop of Kumasi; and Most Rev Cyril Kobina Ben-Smith, Anglican Bishop of Asante Mampong and Archbishop of Ghana and the Church of the Province of West Africa.

Also present were Most Rev Prof Daniel Sarfo, Anglican Archbishop Emeritus; Most Rev Prof Emmanuel Asante, Past Presiding Bishop of the Methodist Church of Ghana; Rev Dr Seth Frimpong Coleman, AE Zion Church; Rev Samuel Yeboah, Ashanti Presbytery Chairperson of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana; RT Rev Stephen Owusu, Kumasi Diocese Archbishop; and RT Rev Nu-Ben Abubeker, Past Kumasi Diocesan Methodist Bishop.

Many invited churches were also at the event.
