Paul Adom-Otchere and Felix Kwakye Ofosu

Experienced Ghanaian journalist Paul Adom-Otchere says he sympathizes with Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the government’s spokesperson and head of communication.

He spoke about some potential reasons for his feelings for Kwakye Ofosu. Having worked in the media and political commentary field for a long time, Adom-Otchere remarked on his show “Good Evening Ghana” on Tuesday, April 8, that he is aware of the pressure and scrutiny public leaders like Kwakye Ofosu endure, particularly when supporting contentious government policies and issues that come up.

The government spokesperson has recently been subjected to severe criticism or misrepresentation in the media, particularly in relation to the Aircraft Cocaine issue that has been making headlines in Ghana and even the rest of the world. As a result, Adom-Otchere feels that the attacks on Felix are unjust or over the top, which leads to a display of solidarity.

However, if Paul is perceived as favoring one political side, some opponents speculate that his position may also be a calculated attempt to look neutral and demonstrate empathy.
