People Are Not Happy With Prince Harry And Meghan Markle

At Sunday’s Invictus Games, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle came under fire for riding in a golf buggy past disabled veterans.

Meghan, 43, and her husband Harry, 40, participated in the seventh iteration of the games, which he started in 2014 for servicemen and women who were ill, injured, or wounded.

Meghan’s Instagram page shared a photo of the two at the event, seen in a golf cart. It’s interesting to note that this caused some people to call the royal couple “desperate” for passing veterans, some of whom were wheelchair-bound.

The couple was seen driving past cheering veterans who chanted “Harry” as they joyfully passed in the brief video, which has gone viral online.

The episode’s intriguing aspect is how some people are unhappy with the couple’s decision to ride in a cart.

People’s comments:

  1. ‘So Meghan and Harry, two able bodied people, are driven on a golf cart past disabled veterans.
  2. ‘Some of the veterans are wheelchair bound. They should have walked through the group, meeting, greeting and shaking hands. All with a camera following them. Unbelievable.’
  3. Another said: ‘They drive along being taped by the cart behind them…with people being encouraged to yell out for them. When does this madness stop?’
  4. Someone else wrote: ‘Who so being honoured here? The veterans OR Harry and Meghan being honoured by the veterans!’
  5. Another added: ‘Disabled veterans made to stand waiting in a mile long cold concrete corridor whilst these two very able bodied get golf carted in the opposite direction. Just when you think they can’t sink any lower’

Chris Martin of Coldplay and singer Nelly Furtado performed at the opening event of the seventh edition of the games, which got underway in Vancouver on Saturday.

For the first time, winter sports will be featured in this year’s games, which honor service members who risk their lives for their countries.

It is believed that Meghan’s attendance demonstrates her support for her husband and Invictus’s mission, which is very important to them both.

The couple made their first public appearance together in 2017 at the Toronto Invictus Games, where they were photographed holding hands at a wheelchair tennis competition.

Prince Harry’s Recent Visit To New York City Sparks Rumors

During a private Invictus Games event, Meghan spontaneously spoke about how she feels “at home” in Canada and thanked her husband for his commitment to the athletic competition for disabled veterans.

Meghan turned to face her husband as she spoke and said:

‘I was not planning on speaking tonight, and we just arrived, I don’t know, a couple of hours ago, and I touched Canadian soil and I went, oh, it feels like home.’

‘We are just thrilled to be here, and I would be remiss if I didn’t take the opportunity to introduce someone who means a lot to me. And I know he means quite a lot to all of you”.

‘You will see him throughout this week. ‘You will see him at the Games. You will see him probably curling with you, cheering you on.’
