In the wake of winning the 2021/2022 English Premier League with Manchester City, Pep Guardiola has been on the lips of pretty much every EPL follower for the undeniable reason.

The Spaniard became the most successful foreign manager in English football, in terms of league titles won, when he secured his fourth Premier League crown on Sunday May 22.

With his most recent achievement, the Manchester City manager moved above Frenchman Arsene Wenger and Portuguese Jose Mourinho who both have three Premier League titles to their names.

Indeed, even with the incredibilities of the these previously mentioned managers, the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager Guardiola looks higher in the all-time winners list.

Scotsman Alex Ferguson has also won more league championships than any, having secured 13 Premier Leagues with Manchester United.

Guardiola is level on four titles with another Scot, Kenny Dalglish, who enjoyed three victories with Liverpool and one with Blackburn Rovers.

The Spaniard is one win behind Matt Busby of Manchester United and two behind six-time league winning Liverpool boss Bob Paisley.

Guardiola has won the title in 10 of his 13 seasons as a top-flight manager across spells in charge of Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Manchester City.

The 51 year old is considered one of the greatest managers of all time and holds the records for the most consecutive league games won in La Liga, the Bundesliga and the English Premier League.

Guardiola is known for breaking and making records. He once became the youngest mamager during his spell with Barcelona back in 2008. In 2001, he was also named the FIFA World Coach of the Year.

Since he took over Manchester City in 2016, he has been exceptional in the Premier League, breaking numerous domestic records as the team became the first to achieve 100 league points.

He won a second consecutive Premier League and EFL Cup the following season, as well as the FA Cup, becoming the first manager to win the domestic treble in English men’s football.

Guardiola won his third Premier League title in 2021, as well as guiding City to their first Champions League final where they lost to Chelsea.
