Following extensive discussions between FIFA and the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF), FIFA has regretfully revoked Peru’s hosting rights for the FIFA U-17 World Cup 2023™.
The FIFA Council’s Bureau will now select a new host for the tournament, which will still be held from November 10 to December 2, 2023.
Due to the host nation’s failure to fulfill its obligations to complete the tournament’s infrastructure, this decision was taken by the football governing body.

It has been determined that there is not enough time to secure the necessary investment and complete the necessary work with the Peruvian government prior to the start date of the tournament, despite the very positive working relationship that exists between FIFA and the FPF.
FIFA would like to express its gratitude to the FPF for their efforts and is still open to hosting a tournament in Peru in the future.
