President Akufo-Addo Has No Properties In London As Being Speculated

Outgoing President Nana Akufo-Addo

According to social media critic Kevin Taylor, the outgoing president Nana Akufo-Addo owns a number of properties in the United Kingdom. Checks, however, reveal that all of those accusations are wholly untrue and unfounded, and they ought to be disregarded.

Eugene Arhin, the Presidency’s Director of Communications, said they are all lies.

Kevin Taylor falsely claimed that the President owned multiple properties outside of Ghana in his most recent attack on his platform, “Loud Silence.”

The US-based Kevin Taylor asserts in his most recent sensational video that President Akufo-Addo owns up to 15 properties in the UK. Unfortunately, there hasn’t been any proof as of yet, despite his promise to post the documents on his social media page.

The President has no interest in any property in the United Kingdom, according to multiple checks.

He concentrated on Stratton Enterprise Holding Limited’s property, 75 Nottingham Terrace, London, City of Westminster, Greater London, NW1 4QE, which was last sold for £3,350,000.00 in 2020.

Mr. Taylor declared to his global audience that Stratton is Nana Akufo-Addo’sproperty, and as such, the property itself, without offering any proof.

He attempted to provide evidence to back up this claim by projecting a cropped property search document onto the screen. It included the names of Mr. Edward Akufo-Addo and Mrs. Irene Akufo-Addo, as well as information about a property that sold for £350,000 in 2005.

In an effort to mislead his audience, Kevin Taylor claimed that the document covered the sale of 75 Nottingham Terrace and then incorrectly linked the 2005 sale price to the property. He went on to say that the President had purchased the aforementioned property, which had sold for £350,000, for £3.3 million fifteen years later.

But according to publicly accessible records that can be found in the UK’s His Majesty’s Land Registry database, in 2005, 19 years ago, Edward, the younger brother of Nana Akufo-Addo, and his wife Irene Akufo-Addo jointly acquired 32 Nottingham Terrace, London, Greater London NW1 4QB, for £350,000.00. Not 75 Nottingham Terrace.

“Thank You For The Good Relationship”— Akufo-Addo To Asantehene

Subsequent investigations reveal that the documents actually belong to the President’s brother and his wife, who own a home in the neighborhood at 32 Nottingham Terrace, London, Greater London NW1 4QB.

Despite the boldness of the accusation, there was not a single piece of evidence to back up the claim that the President of the Republic owned any real estate in the United Kingdom.

“I can tell you that President Akufo-Addo does not own any property in London or any part of the UK.”, Eugene Arhin, Director of Communications at the Presidency confidently said.

These claims, he said, “are nothing more than a fabrication designed to deceive the public and tarnish the President’s image as he prepares to leave office after his rather successful tenure as President of the Republic the last 8 years.”

Deliberate lies are being made against the President as he steps down, which Mr. Arhin described as regrettable and depressing.

“President Akufo-Addo is a man who has dedicated his life to serving the people of Ghana with honesty and integrity. I can categorically tell you that President Akufo-Addo has no knowledge of it, let alone own a company by the name Stratton Enterprise Holdings”, Mr Arhin said.

“It is unfortunate that such baseless accusations are being used to create unnecessary distractions at a time when our collective efforts should be focused on building a prosperous, progressive Ghana,” Mr Arhin said.
