President John Mahama Has Declared His Intention To Form Two Important National Conferences

In order to address important concerns regarding Ghana’s educational system and constitutional framework, President John Dramani Mahama has announced plans to organize two major national conferences.

President Mahama announced his intention to form a planning committee for a National Education Review Conference at the 92nd Annual Jalsa (Convention) of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission in Pomadze, Central Region.

In order to determine barriers to high-quality education and create workable suggestions for enhancement, this conference will assess the educational system from kindergarten through tertiary levels, including technical and vocational education.

In order to address issues like overcrowding, finishing unfinished projects, and advancing Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), the president underlined the government’s commitment to maintaining and strengthening the Free Senior High School (SHS) policy.

Plans to form a committee to plan a National Constitutional Review Validation Conference were also mentioned. Building broad agreement on proposed constitutional amendments that demonstrate the administration’s dedication to bolstering Ghana’s judicial system and tackling systemic injustices is the aim of this conference.

The President emphasized how crucial it is to move forward with the constitutional review process, which has stalled, in order to strengthen judicial independence and advance justice system fairness.

These programs demonstrate President Mahama’s commitment to transforming Ghana’s vital industries in order to advance the country’s development and guarantee fair opportunities for all.
