After King Charles III asked them to leave the Frogmore Cottage, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are said to have bought a new vacation home in Portugal, according to reports.
Prince Harry’s relatives, Princess Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, also own a getaway estate north of Lisbon, so the Duke and Duchess of Sussex purchased a property somewhere in Portugal.
Subsequently, this could lead them to apply for a Golden Visa, permitting the US-born actress to get to the 26 Schengen nations in Europe, including Italy, Spain and Greece, without limitation.
After Charles evicted them from Frogmore Cottage in Windsor, UK, more than a year ago to his youngest son’s 2020 departure from the royal family, Harry, 40, and Markle, 43, purchased the property.
At the time, the 75-year-old king began the eviction process in January 2023, one day before Harry published his memoir “Spare,” which contained numerous family-related allegations.
