According to Priyanka Chopra Jonas, she left Bollywood to try her luck in Hollywood because she believed she was being “pushed into a corner in the industry.”

Before moving to the United States, the star of “Matrix Resurrections” had a successful career as a Bollywood actress in India. However, she acknowledged that she was “tired of the politics” at the time.
She stated, “I just needed a break.”
Chopra Jonas took a break from acting in India when she was offered the chance to travel to the United States and work in the music industry. This eventually led her to sign a music contract with Interscope Records in the early 2010s.

“I read the pilot so I knew what the tone of the show was and I worked with an acting coach,” she said.

“That one audition at that phase in my life really defined me,” she said in the interview.
