Queen Elizabeth II Shows Compassion For People Infected With Coronavirus During Her Christmas Speech

We are as yet in the merry season, and several Christmas messages are pouring in from prominent personalities across the globe, with the Queen of England also giving her discourse.

In her message to the people of Britain during her 2020 Christmas speech, Queen Elizabeth II assured those removed from their family for these special seasons that they “are not alone” and approached the general population to let benevolence and expectation guide them into the new year 2021.

She further communicated that due to Covid, all religious beliefs couldn’t celebrate the Christmas like they use to, but figures the world actually need life to move on.

The Queen didn’t leave out the forefront workers in the health sector all across the world for the colossal devotion towards infected people. She applauded them for their work over time for their dauntless spirits.

Furthermore, she said:

“We owe them a debt of gratitude. We continue to be inspired by the kindness of strangers and draw comfort that even on the darkest night, there is hope in the new dawn,”

Meanwhile, Britain has recorded almost 70,000 Covid deaths, the second-most elevated loss of life in Europe behind Italy.

In the course of recent days, the UK has recorded its two most noteworthy daily infection numbers, at just under 40,000.

During the Queen’s speech, she went on by saying:

“For many, this time of year will be tinged with sadness, some mourning the loss of those dear to him and others missing friends and family members, distanced for safety when all they really want for Christmas is a simple hug or a squeeze of the hand,” the Queen said in her speech.

“If you are among them, you are not alone,” she added.

She however urged people to “let the light of Christmas, the spirit of selflessness, love and above all hope, guide us in the times ahead.”
