The host of “Good Evening Ghana,” Paul Adom-Otchere, recently talked about information from National Security sources about Richard Jakpa’s purported plans for more raids against individuals including prominent members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), the last of whom being the former Bank of Ghana governor Ernest Addison.
Adom-Otchere claims that the following people are on Jakpa’s alleged list:
• Kwaku Ofori Asiamah, former Minister of Transport
• Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko, a leading member of the NPP
• Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, former Minister of Communications
• Kwadwo Mpiani, former Chief of Staff
• Yaw Osafo-Maafo, former Senior Minister
Adom-Otchere underlined the gravity of these purported schemes and asked the appropriate authorities to take the required safety measures.

For weeks now, people have been blaming Richard Jakpa and his staff, especially NPP members, for suspected corruption when they were in office.
Since the start of the new administration, the National Security coordinator has started conducting raids on these people’s residences. Some people believe they deserve such actions, while others criticize this “Rambo” type of investigation. In Ghana, it has recently been a hot topic of conversation.
