After defeating Jack Draper in a three-set final, 7-5, 5-7, 6-1, Andrey Rublev won his second title at the 2025 Qatar ExxonMobil Open. Rublev won his first ATP Tour title since April 2024 with this triumph, his 17th overall.

Draper’s serve was broken twice by Rublev in the pivotal third set, giving him a 5-0 lead. He then used two aces to win the match. Draper’s performance during the tournament has propelled him to a career-high ranking of World No. 12 despite the defeat.

The British team of Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool defeated their countrymen Joe Salisbury and Neal Skupski in the doubles final with a straight-sets victory, 6-3, 6-2. This match was notable for being the third ATP Tour final featuring two all-British teams and the first to occur outside of the United Kingdom.

Jack Draper’s performance against Andrey Rublev was outstanding. Even though he lost, Draper’s run to the final demonstrated his skill and tenacity, especially given that it was his first tournament following a month-long injury layoff. He is currently ranked at a career-high No. 12 in the world thanks to his performance throughout the tournament, which included noteworthy wins over Jiri Lehecka and Alexei Popyrin.

Draper recognized Rublev’s strength after considering the final, saying,

“Andrey was too good today. We played some tough matches this week and in the third set he was just a bit too strong for me.”
