Lawyer and political commentator Martin Kpebu discussed the trending issue of Ghana GoldBod’s CEO Sammy Gyamfi, who was captured on camera giving an evangelist named Nana Agradaa an undisclosed sum of money, allegedly in US dollars, at a public event, on Adom FM on Tuesday, May 13.
The public has been harsh on Mr. Gyamfi, especially the opposition NPP, while others have been critical on the National Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), according to lawyer Kpebu.
He said, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is “blowing Sammy Gyamfi’s issue out of proportion”.
He stated,
“First and foremost, the person who recorded Sammy Gyamfi in the convenience of his vehicle violated the law of privacy and ought to face consequences.”
He went on to say that, the GoldBod boss is being attacked, but he sees nothing wrong with this dollar issue. Martin Kpebu dropped a ‘bomb’– saying jealousy is the driving force behind all of this.
Additionally, he claimed that the NPP was acting as though they had always wanted Sammy Gyamfi to be caught in a situation like this so they could launch an attack.
He begged President Mahama to forget and forgive on Sammy Gyamfi’s behalf.
This implies that Kpebu feels the NPP is politicizing or exaggerating the Sammy Gyamfi problem more than is required.
