Samsung Electronics Recognized As The World’s Best Sports Advertiser

For its local and international sports film, content, and digital programming, Samsung Electronics has taken home three bronze and one silver award.

For its multi-category 2024 sport campaign, the company has won four Clio Sports Awards, which recognize the world’s top sports marketing and advertising.

The brand’s three-part documentary series, which debuted in April 2024 and followed the skateboarding, surfing, and breaking communities to a significant point in their respective histories, earned Bronze in the Branded Entertainment/Content (Film) category.

The series, which is produced in collaboration with the Pro Breaking Tour (PBT), Street League Skateboarding (SLS), and the World Surf League (WSL), examines the distinctive subcultures of each sport, their influence both locally and globally, and their shared commitment to openness.

Samsung’s “Open always wins” campaign, which proclaims that anything is possible with an open mind—a motto these communities live by every day—included the project as a major component.

In the movie, Team Samsung Galaxy athletes included park skateboarder Sky Brown (Great Britain), street skateboarder Jagger Eaton (USA) and bronze medalist Rayssa Leal (Brazil), and Paris 2024 surfing silver medalist Jack Robinson (Australia) and bronze medalist Johanne Defay (France).

Samsung India, which took home Bronze in both the Direction (Film Craft) and Editing (Film Craft) categories for its “India Cheers Neeraj” film, which starred two-time Olympic javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra, and Samsung UK, which took home Silver in the Digital / Mobile (Experience / Activation) category for its Samsung Flip Park program with Sky Brown, were also honored with Clio Sports Awards.
