During Sunday’s 40th Santa Barbara International Film Festival: Virtuosos Award, Selena Gomez was the center of attention.
Many of the guests were drawn to the 32-year-old singer because she was wearing a structured bridal white minidress at the star-studded event, which took place at The Arlington Theatre in southern California.
The stylish outfit included a swirl across her hips and a sleeveless, boat neck silhouette with a peplum-inspired design. She also wore cream Santoni sling-back heels with the dress.
Selena Gomez’s $1 million marquise-cut diamond engagement ring from Benny Blanco was the day’s main attraction as she posed for pictures on the red carpet.
The former Disney star wore a soft, rosy makeup look and styled her shoulder-length bob in brushed-out beach waves before taking the stage to discuss her most recent film.
Ariana Grande, Fernanda Torres, John Magaro, Mikey Madison, Monica Barbaro, and Sebastian Stan were among the other celebrities who attended the event.
In addition to Selena, Ariana also took the stage to discuss her most recent project. Aniston spoke about her business, LolaVie, and Selena had the opportunity to also talk about her own beauty brand.
It follows Selena and her fiancé Benny’s romantic display during their Friday visit to Disneyland.
Selena made her first appearance at the event since she posted a video of herself sobbing over Trump’s deportation policy to Instagram.
The star heartily stated,
“All my people are getting attacked, the children,” in the now-deleted reel. I don’t understand. I’m so sorry, I wish I could do something but I can’t. I don’t know what to do. I’ll try everything, I promise.’
‘Apparently it’s not ok to show empathy for people,’ Gomez wrote in a separate Instagram stories post shortly after removing the video.
Other celebrities, like Chrissy Teigen and Flavor Flav, have stood up for the actress, though.
