Elton John

Sir Elton John is currently dealing with restricted vision in one eye because of an extreme summer infection. However, he still maintains optimism that he will be fine.

His TIFF debut and upcoming performances remain unchanged despite his ongoing recovery.

The fractional impedance, per the Grammy winner, comes from an eye disease he managed over the late spring.

He wrote on Instagram:

“Over the summer, I’ve been dealing with a severe eye infection that has unfortunately left me with only limited vision in one eye,” the Tiny Dancer singer detailed in his social media post. “I am healing, but it’s an extremely slow process and it will take some time before sight returns to the impacted eye.”

Elton took the time to express his gratitude to his family and the “excellent team of doctors and nurses” who cared for him over the past few weeks while he was “recovering at home.”

The singer went on to say that the progress he has made up to this point makes him “feeling positive.”

In the comments section, fans and other famous people wished the pop star well, including Donatella Versace.
