Singer Shakira To Be Jailed 8-Years In Prison?

According to solid reports, a Spanish prosecutor is supposedly set to look for at least 8 years in jail and a $23 million fine against hotshot singer Shakira for tax evasion.

The three-time Grammy winner is accused for not paying anywhere close to $15 million taxes from 2012-2014. The whiz says she has previously paid about $17.5 million to the Spanish tax office to settle her commitment.

In July 2021, an appointed official decided that there was sufficient “proof of culpability” for the singer, who is the star and EP of NBC’s Dancing With Myself reality contest, to be tried.

The prosecutor’s office claims she was an ordinary resident in Spain somewhere in the range of 2012 and 2014 and in May 2012, she purchased a house in Barcelona.” According to authorities, that house was not only for the singer, but also for her better half Gerard Pique, who plays for FC Barcelona, and their child, who was born in Spain in 2013. The couple announced they were separating the month before.
