The dispute that had been going on for a few weeks between the music group Team Eternity and music producer Kwame Mickey has now been resolved.
The question of whether Kaayire Music Production’s works were “stolen” by Team Eternity or originated from originality sparked a passionate debate. Kwame Micky was very nearly taking on the music group in court over intellectual property regulation concerning the popular song ‘Defe Defe‘.
In fact, there were several public opinions on this issue, as various individuals including music experts, media personalities and others sharing their sentiments. Some people encouraged Team Eternity to do the needful and talk it up with Kwame Mickey, while other had different opinions. However, the band has swiftly carried out their obligation.

On Saturday, June 22, Kwame Micky revealed on Adom FM with Mike 2 that he has been contacted by the team and that, discussions are ongoing. Micky stated that one of the group members by the name of Daniel Otubuah was the one who initially called him to discuss the matter amicably before other three members, including Oshobo, a member with whom Kwame Micky had previously worked, joined in.
The Kaayire Music Production boss further added that, the parties have sat on the issue and are almost done with all necessary paper works to end the feud. Kwame Mickey additionally said renowned Legal advisor Ace Ankomah has also been engaged with this issue. He stated that everything is proceeding as planned and that, the lawyer would be the one to record all agreements for future reference.
Micky stated that he is pleased that, after careful consideration, the team has finally accepted their blunder for not consulting him prior to recording “Defe Defe” 🎶
