Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the Chairman of the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) team and Member of Parliament for North Tongu, claims that the team has accumulated strong proof of state assets being looted by former administration appointees.
He stated that President John Dramani Mahama will shortly be presented with the gathered evidence for additional action.
A team led by Ablakwa, along with Nathan Kofi Boakye, Martin Kpebu, Raymond Archer, and Daniel Domelevo, was established by President John Mahama shortly before his inauguration ceremony to look into and gather proof of asset misappropriation and state capture.
The group got right to work on their assignments. Ablakwa (MP) has stated that he is confident in the team’s progress. Their work has been very successful, he said, and they have reaffirmed their commitment to holding those in charge accountable.
But for the time being, he stated, they will not rush to reveal their modus operandi and achievements so far.
“We will not disclose the nature of our achievements until we have presented our report to His Excellency the President. When we present our report, at that presentation, the Ghanaian people will see the tremendous work that has gone on and the extent of the loot and how all of us collectively have worked successfully to make sure that the evidence is put together, is coordinated to make sure that our attorney general and our institutions help us to recover these loots.”
