
The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has announced that a critical number of students who tested positive for Covid-19 have successfully recovered following a flood in cases from the get-go in the year.
As at March 8, 281 schools in Ghana recorded an aggregate of 1709 Covid-19 cases, with dynamic cases remaining at 381.
Out of an aggregate of 6,000 schools, 281 recorded Coronavirus cases, which means it is a step in right direction. However, Ghanaians have been entrusted by the President Nana Akufo-Addo to keep observing the safety protocols, to hold the number down.
As at now, four locales in the country specifically Ahafo, Bono, North East and Upper West have no active cases among students. North East area is the lone region that didn’t record any Covid-19 case in its schools.
Meanwhile, an aggregate of 202,252 Ghanaians have been vaccinated as at Sunday 7 March, with the Greater Accra Region immunizing 128,088 people, the most elevated number of people vaccinated in the country.
