Taste Of Ghana 2023: This Is What You Should Know About This Exciting Event

Taste of Ghana is a one-of-its-kind festival of Ghanaian culture hosted by the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre annually in December.

The festival seeks to present the distinctive, authentic and traditional facets of the Ghanaian way of life under one umbrella; through food, art, made-in-Ghana products, cinematography, fashion et al.

The merger of these elements will work to develop a palate for Ghana and doing business in Ghana. As part of this year’s event, several top Ghanaian artists will be performing at the event.

This year vows to be an interesting one with Dancehall act, Shatta Wale headlining the music concert to climax the party booked for Wednesday, December 27 at the Forecourt of the State House, in Accra at 12PM.

Other artists on the bill to entertain patrons with energizing performances are R2Bees, EL, Adina, Fancy Gaddam, Kofi Jamal, Wendy Shay, Eno Barony, among others.

Preceding the show, there would be a Carols Night with Samini and Joyful Way Incorporated which will be bound with fashion shows from six designers.

In addition, Ghanaians, those living abroad, and tourists will be able to network and learn about a variety of commercial and investment opportunities in the country at the event.

Patrons won’t only be blessed to enjoy music performances, however the festival brags a different cluster attractions including a masquerade procession, dance performances and art exhibitions to add layers of cultural richness to the event.

Moreover, local merchants or vendors will also line the scene and offer a variety of traditional Ghanaian dishes and products.

Taste of Ghana was started in 2020 as the signature Christmas programme from Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) in collaboration with Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) and Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA) with support from Beyond the Return Secretariat (BTR), and the Ministry of Information.

This year’s event is themed, GH: The Africa Dream. It will display authentic richness of Ghanaian heritage through music, food, arts, and culture.

In furtherance of efforts to consistently engage members of the diaspora community to leverage its enormous resource potential for Ghana’s development agenda, and to promote investments into Ghana through entertainment, tourism and culture.

Taste of Ghana offers an opportunity for investors to connect with potential local business partners, explore investment opportunities and celebrate the rich Ghanaian heritage.

That not enduring, Taste of Ghana plays a definitive role of promoting the tourism in the country, to draw in both local and international guests. Taste of Ghana lines up with the government of Ghana’s vision to position Ghana as a top vacationer location in Africa.

Taste of Ghana is a free event, but patrons need to dial 71111*20# for their tickets. This is to capture data to enable GIPC to engage patrons afterwards. Last year, 9,000 people attended the festival and as at now 15, 000 have already secured tickets for this year’s and still counting.
