The 2020/2021 Ghana Football Season Officially Launched

Since the presence of the novel COVID, all significant activities were required to be postponed to prevent the spread of the pandemic. The Ghana football Association was also affected, as the country’s soccer Premier League was suspended.

From that point forward, all other football activities were all suspended. It’s been months since the fans of football had a magnificent vibe of soccer in the country but fortunately, the league is going to fall off, as the Ghana Football Season was launched on Thursday November 5, 2020.

The National Women’s League, The FA Cup, the Division One League are all very nearly beginning. For the Premier League, winners will go home with a cash prize of GHC250,000, and runner up taking home GHC150,000.

The league vows to be an exciting one as superstar Asamoah Gyan, the former skipper of the senior national team of the Black Stars will be a part of the league. Gyan who has a legitimate record the world over, both in the national team and at club levels will play for Legon Cities (Formerly Was All Stars).

‘Baby Jet’ as he is fondly called, has vowed to make the alliance an energizing one with his impact. The launch. of the League then again, comes at the opportune time, as various national teams of Ghana prepares for qualifying matches for their respective competitions over the continent.

Nonetheless, just 25% fans limit will be permitted at all Stadia to hinder the spread of the infection. The league is scheduled to begin on the 14 and 15 November, 2020.

The second tier competition, Division One League commences on December 3, 2020, while the Women’s Premier League is set to commence on January 2, 2021.
