The Ghana Premier League at last commenced after a long break. On Saturday November 14 and on Sunday November 15, all the matches fell off with exciting and fascinating goals. 21 goals were recorded with Sogakope seeing the most as WAFA and King Faisal were involved in a seven-goal spine chiller on Sunday evening.
WAFA took an agreeable 4-1 lead but the Kumasi-based club-King Faisal contended energetically and snatched two goals. Sadly, the Kumasi based club couldn’t equalise till the 90 minutes was up.
Asante Kotoko also failed to beat Techiman Eleven Wonders at home. They were fortunate to grab a point following an awesome execution by the away side.
In Tarkwa, Medeama, whom many have tipped to win the title, made a disillusioning beginning. They were held by Great Olympics. AshantiGold and Karela United settled for a draw at Obuasi.
Ebusua Dwarfs scored a late equalizer through their goalkeeper Razak Issah, as they drew 2-2 with Elmina Sharks.
Legon Cities who historically signed the General captain of the Ghana’s senior national team, Asamoah Gyan, drew 1-1 with Berekum Chelsea on Saturday night. Asamoah Gyan did not play.
