The 2020 Ghana Outstanding Women Awards Comes Off Tonight

The 3rd edition of the annual Ghana Outstanding Women Awards (GOWA) is set to tumble off today Friday 16, October, 2020 at Alisa Hotel, in Accra – Ghana.

The Awards ceremony is to celebrate extraordinary women committed to the welfare of humankind and the development of society who have positively impacted the country and beyond. Additionally, GOWA is to recognize distinct personalities in their particular fields of endeavors, particularly during this period of COVID-19.

With the presence of the pandemic, it has provoked most of individuals to go to the aid of the needy, vulnerable people, frontline laborers, among others. Hence, it is essential to reward such women who are putting forth a valiant effort in the battle against the fatal infection and having an impact in other fields.

Nominations were opened up for people to cast a ballot, however it ended on October 14, 2020.

The CEO of ASKOF Productions, coordinators of the awards, Mrs. Afua Asantewaa Aduonum, has communicated that her team have set up measures to guarantee that all the Coronavirus conventions are carefully observed to ensure a successful awards ceremony today.

The 2020 Ghana Outstanding Women Awards (GOWA) will fall off at exactly 7PM with the Red Carpet beginning at 5PM.

This year’s awards are supported by Hisense, Verna, Nasco, Tasty Tom, Unilever, Twellium Industries, Ceejay Multimedia, Rwanda Air and so on.

Meanwhile, nominees for this year’s event includes: Nana Ama McBrown who has the highest number of nominations of four, Joselyn Dumas, Deloris Frimpong Manso famously known as “Delay”, Margaret Afriyie, and Cynthia Yeboah.

In the music space, Wendy Shay, Gifty Osei, Queen Eshun, Becca, and Rose Adjei are additionally competing for the honor thinking about their effect in the music business.

In the health sector, Dr. Hannah-Lisah Tetteh, Dr. Bertha Serwaa Ayi, Elizabeth Amoah, Dr. Mensah Kabu, and Dr. Betty Twumasi Ankrah will ‘battle’ for the lofty award.

Whilst in the Film category, Gifty Asante, Benedicta Gafah, Vivian Jill, Joselyn Dumas, Gloria Sarfo, and Nana Ama McBrown will also strive for this award. There are several other nominations who will compete for the particular category.
