
The inaugural Ghana Automotive Summit 2023 was held on June 27th at the Grand Arena, Accra International Conference Centre.
Under the theme ‘Creating A New Economic Backbone for Ghana & the Sub-Region,’ the Summit was hosted by the Automobile Assemblers Association of Ghana (AAAG).
The event sparked lively discussions about the latest automobile industry trends, problems, and opportunities.
It brought together prominent executives, government officials, representatives of international organizations, and representatives of the media who were all concerned with determining the automotive industry’s future.
As evidence of Ghana’s industrial growth, the exhibition featured more than twenty car models made locally. From sustainability to competitiveness, standards to financing, the boards explored key points, while the deputy CEO of Ghana Investment Promotion Centre, Yaw Afriyie spoke about government-led drives and his outfit’s critical role in supporting auto companies.

The event featured a variety of manufacturers, including Universal Motors Ltd., a Volkswagen Ghana distributor, Nissan Ghana, Rana Motors Ghana, Kantanka Automobile Company, and others. Other exhibitors included Kantanka Automobile Company.
