On May 31, 2025, the 72nd Miss World pageant will be held at Hyderabad, Telangana, India’s HITEX Exhibition Centre. After hosting the event in 1996 and 2023, India is hosting it for the third time.

From May 7 to May 31, the Miss World 2025 festival will take place, showcasing Indian hospitality and culture through a number of events.

International delegates have arrived in Hyderabad for the pageant, including competitors from Canada, Brazil, South Africa, Portugal, and Ghana.

Miss World Chair Julia Morley CBE, Telangana’s Minister for Tourism Jupally Krishna Rao, senior government officials, and special guests, including actor and philanthropist Sonu Sood, who will serve as a judge and receive a special award for his social impact, were all present at the official press conference held at Trident Hyderabad. Nandini Gupta, Miss World India, attended the occasion as well and expressed her delight in representing India domestically.

In order to appreciate Telangana’s rich history and contemporary infrastructure, participants will take part in heritage walks, city tours, and other cultural events.

The last event will take place at the HITEX Exhibition Centre on May 31 from 5:30 PM to 1:00 AM (June 1). During this ceremony, Krystyna Pyszková, the current Miss World from the Czech Republic, will crown her successor.

More than 100 countries will compete in Miss World 2025. Among the notable competitors are:

Emma Moserin – Miss Canada

Joilez Jansen van Rensburg – Miss South Africa

Maria Amelia Antonio – Miss Portugal

The format of the pageant has changed to reflect changing social values. For example, the traditional swimwear portion of the Miss England competition, a national qualifier for Miss World, has been replaced with a “CPR Queen” challenge.

Under the direction of Milla Magee, the reigning Miss World England, this campaign prioritizes life-saving abilities over conventional beauty criteria.
