Singapore Airlines has been at the top of the aviation industry for decades. In the prestigious Skytrax World Airline Awards 2023, it has been named best airline for the fifth time in the 23-year history of the awards.

Just a few weeks after the Singapore flag carrier was named No. 5 in the world by the aviation safety and product rating agency, the announcement was made at a gala on June 20, 2023, at the Air and Space Museum at the Paris Air Show.

Between September 2022 and May 2023, the UK-based aviation consultancy carried out independent, self-funded customer surveys on more than 325 airlines worldwide in order to gather the results for this year’s honors.

The success, according to Singapore Airlines CEO Goh Choon Phong, was due to the team’s tireless efforts, which included making “many sacrifices to ensure that SIA was ready for the recovery in air travel.” As a result, they have emerged from the pandemic stronger and fitter.
