The Big Annual Vogue World Is Set To Fall Off

After Vogue World made its traffic-halting debut on West 13 street amidst New York Fashion Week last September, the fashion brand will be in London’s West End for a similarly astounding sophomore trip.

Vogue has enrolled the BAFTA-and Olivier-winning director Stephen Daldry (of The Crown and Billy Elliot fame) to direct a dramatic celebration of the absolute best of British culture and fashion this year inventively.

Starting off London Fashion Week, the unique show – planned by an international Vogue team headed up by Anna Wintour and Edward Enninful – is enlivened by a premiere night in the West End.

The event will have performances from driving lights of opera, theater and film, as well as old style and popular music.

Fashion World: London will fall off at the Theater Royal Drury Lane on 14 September, 2023.

Supermodels Cara Delevingne, Adwoa Aboah, Ashley Graham and Paloma Elsesser, along with acclaimed actor Sophie Okonedo, Stormzy, Sienna Miller and Sir Ian McKellen are on the heavenly bill.

In point of fact, with the assistance of the Royal Opera House, every aspect of the performing arts will be represented at Vogue World London.

In its celebration of the UK’s rich social scene, Vogue World: London also looks to get its future following a challenging years during the pandemic.

Keeping that in mind, all net ticket proceeds from the event will benefit a wide range of performing arts organisations in the capital, from the National Theatre and Royal Opera House to the Royal Ballet, Southbank Sinfonia, and the Rambert dance company.

Before the event, a complete list of the organizations that will benefit will be made public.

“The arts are under threat in the UK and Vogue World will be a timely reminder of how important they are, how vital a part of our lives, and how much they need our support,” Anna Wintour said of the decision.

Back in 2022, the very first Vogue World took over New York’s Meatpacking Region with a stunning fashion show and street fair.

There was a Serena Williams cameo; a dancing Mikhail Baryshnikov; 112 top models storming the runway to Madonna’s “Vogue”; a Lil Nas X performance supported by the Hadid sisters; and a star-studded street party that featuree food stalls run by the world’s leading fashion houses (think pastrami sandwiches courtesy of Michael Kors and Katz’s Deli, and baguettes by Fendi, naturally).
