
The European Club Association (ECA) held its 31st General Assembly in Athens on October 8.
The Assembly saw the approval of the renewal of the common action agreement signed by UEFA and the ECA, which has now been extended until July 2033.
Miguel Ángel Gil Marín, Atletico Madrid’s CEO and a member of the association’s executive committee, was among the prominent sports personalities who attended the European Club Association (ECA), which is made up of more than 700 clubs.
Over 100 special guests and more than 400 delegates from member clubs attended the meeting, which also included Nasser Al-Khelaifi, president of the ECA, and Aleksander Eiferin, president of the UEFA.
The extension of the common action agreement that was signed in September 2023 by UEFA and the ECA was approved during the assembly. The agreement is now in effect until July 2033.

In addition, elections were held for Subdivision Two positions on the ECA Board of Directors, the budget for the 2024/25 season was approved, and the awards for the 2023/24 season were announced.
The next ECA General Meeting will be held from 7-9 October 2025 in Rome.
