The Exclusive National Anthem Played Before The FA Cup Final Got Fans So Angry

Prior to the FA Cup final at Wembley, the national anthem was played. Fans, on the other hand, were extremely unimpressed and took to social media to express their ire.

The performance of the national anthem before the Saturday, May 17 final left football fans completely stunned.

Before the main event between Crystal Palace and Manchester City, singer Siena MBC was honored to perform “God Save the King,” but with a twist.

The song was sung across Wembley, but many were not pleased with Siena’s rendition, prompting several people to wonder online if she was having technical difficulties or if her microphone was malfunctioning.

Reactions from Fans:

‘The worst national anthem I’ve ever heard sung. Awful. Obviously another wokie decision made by the FA,’ one fan posted on X.

‘Is the lady singing the national anthem having loads of voice cracks or was there just issues with the mic?’ another bemused supporter asked.

One X user simply added: ‘That national anthem was absolutely dreadful.’

‘The national anthem being played here is out of sync. Embarrassingly hilarious!’ one fan claimed.

‘Quietest national anthem I’ve ever heard as well,’ another wrote.

Since people did not like Siena MBC’s rendition of “God Save the King,” there were actually a ton of comments made on the anthem by fans.

Interestingly, some fans were also angry at English players who did not sing along the anthem.

‘That national anthem attempt was absolutely shocking. Some English players not even singing it either. Should be ashamed,’ one fan insisted.

Prince William welcomed the players onto the field just prior to the anthem being played. William was among several well-known figures enjoying the sun at Wembley on one of the most important days in football history. Current Three Lions manager Thomas Tuchel was present, as were former England managers Gareth Southgate and Roy Hodgson.
