Romeo Ricky Roy, the fitness coach for Black Stars of Ghana, has apparently passed away.
The report stated that he died on Sunday, April 28, 2024, in Accra. The circumstances surrounding his death are still unknown.
Roy originally joined the Black Stars’ backroom staff in 2021 during Milovan Rajevac’s second spell as coach of the team. He also assisted the national team during the recent Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast and the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Preceding his appointment in the national team, Roy filled in as a member of the training staff for Division One League side Vision FC in 2020 .
When he saved a player’s life in a league match against Agbozume Weavers, he became famous for his heroism. He since earned respect in the football circles.
