
In advance of Music’s Biggest Night, which will take place on Sunday, February 4, 2024, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, the Recording Academy has released important dates and deadlines for the event.
This year’s GRAMMY Awards nominees will be announced on Friday, November 10, 2023.
The 2024 GRAMMYs, officially known as the 66th GRAMMY Awards, will be broadcast live on the CBS Television Network from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. ET/5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. PT.
They will also be streamed on Paramount+ (live and on demand for subscribers of Paramount+ who have SHOWTIME, or on demand for subscribers of Paramount+ Essential the day after the special airs).
Three new GRAMMY categories will make a big appearance at the 2024 GRAMMYs:
Best Pop Dance Recording,
Best Alternative Jazz Album, and
Best African Music Performance
According to Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason jr., these historic category additions are part of a larger set of updates and amendments that take effect immediately at the 2024 GRAMMY Awards and are designed to make the GRAMMY Awards process “more fair, transparent, and accurate.”
Mason Jr. claims that every action taken by the Academy and every initiative to amend or modify the Awards procedure is taken with the intention of improving its fairness, transparency, and accuracy.

He further added that, everything being done now is fully intent on being better and more precise, respecting more music decently and in important style, and it is transparent, fair and working to protect the process.

Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers will have access to stream live via the live feed of their local CBS affiliate on the service, as well as on demand. Paramount+ Essential subscribers will not have the option to steam live, but will have access to on-demand the day after the special airs.
Meanwhile, The Recording Academy has updated the GRAMMY Awards Rules and Guidelines for next year’s event to implement a number of important amendments ahead of the Music’s Biggest Night.
These recent changes include the three newly announced GRAMMY categories;
The migration of Producer Of The Year,
Non-Classical and Songwriter Of The Year,
Non-Classical, both existing categories, to the General Field; and much more.
