The Latest FIFPro XI Nominations Are Dominated By Madrid Players

Real Madrid surpassed Manchester City with eight players on the esteemed list of the 2024 Men’s World XI nominees.

With eight players—including Jude Bellingham, Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, Vinicius Jr., and recent addition Kylian Mbappe—Real Madrid leads the shortlist.

Their outstanding lineup is completed by rising star Federico Valverde, defenders Dani Carvajal and Antonio Rudiger, and others.

With seven players, Manchester City is not far behind. Along with Ederson, Kyle Walker, Rodri, and Phil Foden, other notable names are Ruben Dias, Erling Haaland, and Kevin De Bruyne.

The forwards are led by the legends Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, while the defense and goalkeeping lists feature Premier League flair from Emiliano Martinez of Aston Villa and Virgil van Dijk of Liverpool. Additionally cut were up-and-coming players like Cole Palmer (Chelsea) and Lamine Yamal (Barcelona).
