On Wednesday, April 2, 2025, political commentator Yaw Asani Tano spoke on the Peace FM morning show ‘Kokorokoo’ about the recent missing containers at Ghana’s ports.

Although he voiced serious worries about the state of affairs, he told host Kwasi Aboagye that those found guilty “do not deserve to live” or “should be shot and executed.”

Asani Tano believes that such evil ought not to be tolerated. He claimed that while some people had escaped punishment for comparable crimes, everyone found guilty in this case should be executed by shooting or imprisoned for life.

Asani Tano demanded accountability from the appropriate authorities and underlined the need for information regarding the precise quantity of missing containers.

Significant public and media interest has been generated by the disappearance of more than 1,300 containers that belonged to the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG).

The Energy Minister has responded by suggesting the creation of a forensic commission to conduct a thorough investigation.
