Manual payments to the National Service Authority’s (NSA) headquarters, district offices, and regional offices have been phased out.
On February 5, 2025, the Authority declared in a statement that the measure is effective immediately.
With the adoption of a cashless payment system that supports the government’s efforts to modernize revenue collection, the NSA says the manual payment method is no longer acceptable.
“Effective immediately, all user agencies and stakeholders are directed to make all payments, including the 20% and 10% administrative service charges, through the GHANA.GOV platform.”
“Henceforth, all entities must cease manual payments to any NSA staff at the district, regional, and headquarters, as this method of payment is no longer valid,” it added.
It stated that for those who work with the NSA, the transition provides increased accessibility, convenience, and transparency.
Anytime, from anywhere in the nation, payments can be made by visiting https://www.ghana.gov.gh or by entering *222# on any mobile network.
For the 10% administrative fee, payment procedures can also be started through the personnel dashboard; for the 20% administrative fee, invoices can be sent to the user agencies’ HR/Finance Representative’s email.
