TV3, 3 FM, and Onua FM are among the Media General platforms that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is still boycotting. This action was taken on January 27, 2025, in response to claims that the Media General had consistently acted unfairly and impolitely toward the NPP.

The National Organizer of the NPP, Henry Nana Boakye, has reiterated the party’s position and emphasized that the boycott is still in full force. He also clarified that Minority Leader Alexander Kwamena Afenyo-Markin fully supports the party’s decision to disengage from the media group, allaying concerns about Afenyo-Markin’s interactions with the media general.

Perceived bias in panel selections and unprofessional conduct by Media General hosts are among the NPP’s complaints, which the party feels compromises impartial political discourse. The boycott is still in effect because, according to the NPP, satisfactory changes have not been made despite efforts to work with Media General’s management to address these problems.
